Warcodes Build Advice and Secondary Weapon Suggestions background

Warcodes is setup in a way where your creature spawns will fall into a certain health bracket and based on your creature's health bracket it will receive stats that are broken into 3 groups. 1 Star, 2 Star, and 3 Star. Here’s build advice for you to tell if your new creature is “good enough”.

Warcodes players use a Star Code system to help identify what type of creature they’ve spawned. This system is made up of 3 numbers that go between, 111-333. That makes 27 different Star Codes your creature can fall under.

Here is the Star Code breakdown:

Data for this chart is from Warcodes Fandom Wiki.

The best creature in each category will have high Health or 3 Star Agility. We found that Accuracy and Damage are less controllable stats during battle. Damage can always be nullified or reduced and Accuracy is not always reliable, which is why players will typically add a Large Eyestone, found in the marketplace, to creatures with a 1 or 2 star Accuracy rating. There are many other items that can help increase or reduce your chances of winning. Using dice as a measure for hitting and missing attacks is a great choice the developer made for Warcodes.

Summary: You will know if your creature is “good enough” if it's at the top of its health range. We would say a 331 creature is better than a 332 creature because a creature with 36 health using a D10 for damage will die quicker than a creature with 43 health using a D8 for damage.

Secondary weapon suggestions are based on what you want your creature to do.

If you want your creature to hit very hard with its main attack type. You should give it the Battle Runestone. This item adds an additional die to your main attack in replace of a secondary attack type. Another way to accomplish the same goal with different results is to give your creature an item that is the same as their main attack type. Ex. Main Attack = Fire, Secondary Attack = Fire. The benefit of this is you’ll get 2 chances to hit rather than 1 at the cost of doing less damage.

If you want your creature to be able to hit a range of the common weaknesses to your creature's resistance type, give your creature a secondary item that covers that range. Ex. Your creature's Resistance is Fire, its Main Attack Type = Earth, you’ll give it a Secondary Attack Type of Water. This will cover Fire Type creatures' most common weaknesses.

If you want your creature to defend well against its Weakness Type attacks. You’ll do the following. Ex. Your creature's Weakness is Dark, its Main Attack = Psychic, you’ll give it a Secondary Attack Type of Light. This is the least popular build in our opinion because it's very specific and fails when you start playing in the high brackets of the game.
