The Warcodes mobile game uses AI to turn barcodes into monsters and battle it out against other monsters online. Reminiscent of Pokémon cards, Warcodes generates unlimited unique playing monsters from everyday items. It will have you hunting down barcodes in stores you’ve never been into and shouting with excitement when you finally get a strong monster. You will be King of the Hill in no time. This game has tons of potential and with a new update coming soon, the sky's the limit on how popular this game could get.

Is Warcodes A Good Game?

Warcodes by Cozy Orchard is an amazing game. Its mix of strategy and luck make it entertaining for new and experienced players. The AI generated monsters are surprising and addictive. You can never quite tell what a barcode might turn into.

Warcodes is so good that you will want to leave the house. Once you have scanned all your groceries and searched your appliances for stickers you never got around to tearing off, you’ll be stepping out for barcodes that give your monsters a unique edge. As the type of monster, its resistance and weakness are generated by the barcode you scan, variety is key to a winning team. You’ll want a barcode that might spawn a monster to round out your deck. Maybe you need a metal resist, or a strong radiation monster. Just as you think you have finally found a metal monster, confidently scanning a code you found on the back of a metal bath rail in Home Depot, you’ll spawn another earth monster added to your small AI army.

More Than Just a Random Image Generator

Once you have mastered the basics of monster generation, you can put your monsters to the test in King of the Hill. Warecodes is a hidden gem that can hold the interest of even experienced gamers. The combat system might first seem like luck, maybe you’re just another dice roll away from winning if you have enough tokens. But dig a little deeper and you will find that each move your monster makes is calculated. Their Element, weakness and resistance plays a huge part in how battle ready your monster is. Once you take a hill, defending your place is a skill of its own.

There is a strategy to how you level up monsters too. You can add a second attack to defeat even more opponents. What attack to add? Now that’s your choice, and choose wisely. Each addition can make a monster even tougher to defeat, but a skilled player knows how to win the war. With just two attacks, and four item slots to play with, each monster must be carefully built to both defeat and defend.

Hot Tip: Beat the AI

We have found that there are patterns to how monsters are generated. It’s common that fire types will have an ice or water weakness and vice versa, so adding water or ice attacks to a fire monster can be a good play. Dark and light monsters are often weak to each other, so finding a monster that bucks the trend can be a huge win. Maybe you find a dark monster that’s resistant to light and weak to spirit, or a water monster that resists fire. Patterns like this come up with each element, so scan to see what you find. Once you see what monster generations are more common, you can choose what upgrades to give your monsters more wisely.

Spend a Few Minutes or Game All Day

King of the hill challenges payout enough tokens to keep upgrading your monsters, even if you just want to casually drop into the game while sitting on the bus. Have you got a little more time to kill? You will earn even more tokens and level up faster from knocking out opponents while the daily challenge is open. You get 16 hours each day to battle as much as you can, winning tokens each time your monster takes a hill or defends it. Don’t worry, you still get some time to sleep, King of the Hill gives you a peaceful 8 hours to sleep each day.
